OS X 10.6.5 Update erschienen

Am gestrigen späten Abend veröffentlichte Apple das Update auf 10.6.5 für OS X und OS X Server. Neben einigen Performance Optimierungen betreffend iPhoto, Aperture, OpenGL und Mainstage beseitigt das Update überwiegend einige bekannte Fehler wie z.B. bei der Exchange Server Anbindung.

Nach dem Update gibt es leider Inkompatibilitäten mit einigen Third-Party Mail Plugins, in dessen Folge Mail diese Plugins beim Start deaktivert. Davon betroffen sind unter anderem GrowlMail, Letterbox und widemail.
Durch einen Eingriff in die entsprechende info.plist lässt sich das Problem aber zumindest rudimentär und vorerst lösen. Eine Anleitung dazu ist bei rm -rfv verfügbar.
